Hey, my name is Precious Jere and I consider myself lucky to be a Tanzanian-Malawian from a family of avid travelers. Prior to relocating to Ireland, my childhood was filled with vivid tales from my grandparents about their travels around the world. However, my favorite stories from them are their many adventures in Tanzania. Being from Iringa, known for the vast national park called Ruaha, my grandparents witnessed all the beautiful animals that live in Tanzania as they journeyed to and from school. From having their safari car break down in the middle of the national park to my grandparents, John and Eva Lamba, owning a family-run hotel in Mikumi National Park, their experiences were fascinating. They accommodated guests, including myself, and taught us about the wildlife and different areas of interest we could explore, such as waterfalls, lakes, and other national parks. There was never a shortage of adventure in Tanzania..

My business partner, a vibrant and astute woman, Pielina Lamba, has always inspired and nurtured my curiosity about exploring Tanzania and its offerings. Growing up, she was my consistent travel buddy within Tanzania—one of the many perks of having an adventurous mother. When I mused about creating Precious Moments Safaris with her, she was incredibly encouraging and supportive. She loved the concept and believed it would be an exciting way to showcase our home to the world. Personally, I always look forward to coming home and traveling through Tanzania because you never experience the same Tanzania twice. There is always so much more to learn from the people you meet, so many places to explore, and animals to see both on land and at sea.
